Club Day – This Sunday

Well this Sunday is not only Mothers Day for those of you who may have forgotten, but is also the Marsden Wheelers Club Day.  We will be doing the usual Time Trial, Hill Climb and a Fun Teams Race. We will move through the day a little quicker than usual so you can all get back to spoil your Mums, Grandmothers etc.

When: Sunday 8th May 2016

Where: Kara Hall – Kara Road

Time: 8am registration – 8:25am Breifing – 8:30am Time Trial

The other events will follow on from this with time for a coffee between the hill climb and Fun Race, and we will follow the event with a shared plate for lunch and Prize Giving.

What To Bring:  Bring a plate to share, and your required food and drink for the events of the day. Hopefully the weather will be nice but bring warm clothes just in case.

If you wish to not take part, but still want a Sunday Ride, come along and a few will be riding from about 8am and returning for a coffee and a snack.

Hope to see you all there, and remember its open to anyone club members or not.

Kerry and the Marsden Wheelers Committee.

Club Champs done and dusted…

Well it would seem the weather reports and downpours of rain in town put a few people off coming out today to the Club Champs Time Trial and Hill Climb, but in usual fashion the Hikurangi Swamp and Jordan Valley Race Ciruits put on great conditions for us with no rain at all.

A huge thanks to all the riders that came out and special thanks to Roger G for coming up from Auckland and taking out a win in each event. Also Bob and Dianne for helping out on the day.

With the Road Race event two weeks ago and finishing off today with the Time Trial and Hill Climb the Overall Club Champ for 2016 has been won. This is decided from the combined times of a competitor doing all three events and we now have possibly the first ever Female Overall Club Champ – Kim Reyburn. Well done Kim, and the boys need to harden up and step up their training for next year!!

Check out our results page here…

We have official prize giving at our Club Day on the Sunday 8th May 2016.  Also good luck to Nau Puriri heading to the Club Road Nationals in the South Island this week.
